Governance

Nick Xenophon Group was registered as a parliamentary political party under Part XI of the Commonwealth Electoral Act 1918 on 1 July 2013. An application was made to the Australian Electoral Commission to formally change the name of the party from Nick Xenophon Team to Centre Alliance on 10 April 2018. The Australian Electoral Commission has completed its initial consideration of the name change application and approved publication of the notice of application, which appeared in major newspapers 7 May.
