My name is Andrea Broadfoot and I was born and raised in Port Pirie and spent most of my life living and working in regional South Australia across the electorate of Grey.
I am the mother of twins, Zelma and Felix, grandmother to two cherished granddaughters Cadence and Asher, and mother in law to Brad, I live in Port Lincoln where I operate a successful national consultancy firm with my partner Jack.
I stood for election in 2016 representing the seat of Grey and shifted the electorate from a safe seat essentially ignored by Government, to marginal (1.9%), which has brought millions of dollars of Government investment into the regions.
My election focus is to represent the people and keep whoever governs Australia accountable and focused on delivering the resources and support needed to activate solutions. I commit to a positive approach will highlight and advocate for the productive contribution regions make to the nation.
I bring insight and expertise through extensive professional career and community experience which include senior roles in project management, strategic planning, regional economic, community and workforce development. Active volunteer roles include energy security, regional health, festivals and events, domestic violence services, and business support and development.
This election is for our grandchildren, and theirs. Energy security, reliability and affordability through renewable sources, jobs for all, excellent health, education and aged care facilities and services, food and water security and how we can mitigate climate change are all key to ensure a healthy future for our children and grandchildren
I look forward to the opportunity to be a dedicated, action-oriented representative for the people of Grey.
